Affordable Tools You Need For Promoting Your Brand Consistently On Social Media

Hello readers, welcome back to my blog.

Firstly, I want to apologize for my lack of consistency lately. Aside from being busy with other aspects of life, I have been having a creative block with writing.

That said, hope you are all well. For my Nigerian readers, how have you been surviving the current situations concerning the election period? Please feel free to connect with me in the comment section.

Not to waste your time, I created a video a few weeks ago on how to market your brands consistently on social media. This is because one question I got asked early this year by start-up content creators like me is “Faith, how do you get to stay consistent on social media.” So, I decided to talk about that elaborately in my video. Click below to watch now.

4 Simple Practical Steps You Need For Gaining CONSISTENCY On Social Media

In continuation of this video, I am going to share with you the affordable tools I use to create my brand’s content and market them consistently on social media.

Meta Business Suite

The Facebook meta business suite is a free tool for scheduling content for Facebook and Instagram. So, if you enjoy batch creating, you can take out a day to create your content for the week and schedule your graphics post, short reels, and stories on the Meta business suite. That way you free yourself from always having to post your content daily on Facebook and Instagram.

One advantage this tool has is, you can manage multiple pages especially if you are a social media manager like me, without having to log out and log in to other accounts. You can also respond to messages from messenger and Instagram, reply to comments, and even set up prompt messages for your audience for commonly asked questions.

Canva

This is both a free and paid graphics tool you can use. Especially if you don’t have a background in graphics design. It provides you with lots of templates, fonts, stock videos, photo editing features, and apps you can connect your Canva accounts to for ease like your social media platforms. It even has a scheduling calendar, so when you are done designing your content you can schedule it on Canva and it will be posted on your social media platform.

Although not all the features are free, you can actually do a lot with the free version for a start. To get started on Canva, you need to download the app or visit the website. Sign up with your email and voila! You are ready to explore your creativity.

Lastly, Canva has a free course website, where you can learn how to use Canva for your benefit and that of your businesses.

MilkShake

This is a free “link in bio/mini website” app I use for my social media platform. So, if you have so many resources you want people to be able to access through your social media platforms, all you need is to create a mini website on Milkshake, where you get to add links to all your resources like Blog posts, YouTube videos, Websites, and other social media platforms.

All you need to do is download the app, sign up, add your social media handle, and create a mini website using your preferred template. When you are done publishing your content, it will generate a link you have to copy and add to your Bio on your social media pages.

CapCut

This is a free video editing tool you can start with as a start-up creator. It has several fonts to use, a few stock videos, an auto video editing option, and recently the prompter feature was added. It’s good for creating content like Instagram reels and Tikto videos, but as time goes on you will have to source other professional video editing tools like I am currently doing.

That said, it does not undermine the fact that the app is actually a good video editing tool as I have also been learning professional ways of editing video on the app on TheSocialMediaOga Instagram page.

Adobe Light Room

This is not a free tool, but a very affordable photo editing tool to use as it cost $1 (PS: depending on your country’s exchange rate though. But it is currently 700 naira which is about $1, if not more).

It provides you with many presets you can use to edit your video and it is also a professional app for photo editing professional photographers use.

Pinterest

As much as this is a social media tool on its own, I actually outsource content ideas from this app. Although, I just found another tool called “ChatGPT” a few hours before writing this blog, and it is also good for outsourcing content and a whole lot of things.

Pinterest contains a lot of pictures on different topics and brands (In fact, I download most of my blog pictures from the app). Also, you can segment your ideas into different topics and save your pins under those topics, so you can easily find them later on.

ChatGPT

Might not be able to tell you so much about this site, but if you need answers to so many things you can not get done, I am glad to tell you ChatGPT is the best site for you.

Short story; For a while, I have been hearing about ChatGPT, and even how primary school kids use the site to do their homework. It got me curious but I didn’t check it out until after having a long day designing graphics. Then this evening, a friend shared with me a video on how I could use ChatGPT with Canva to save me time designing graphics. I didn’t spend up to 2 seconds rushing to the site to sign up (LOL). Funny how it provided a solution to something I needed to do afterward.

Check out the website and you can thank me later 馃檪

Airtable

I so much love this productivity tool a lot for creating my content calendar (as discussed in my video), cause it provides a seamless and creative way to create calendars unlike Google sheets and Excel. Although, Google sheets and Excel make it easy to collaborate with others like adding a graphics designer’s mail to your calendar or an editor.

Not sure if Airtable has that feature, as I am still exploring the app. Hoping it does, so I can finally abandon Google sheets and Excel (LOL…just kidding).

Finally, we have come to the end of this blog. I am definitely hoping to bring you more updates on my tools and how they help me grow my brand on social media. Well, for now, I hope you do explore these tools and use them to your advantage and that of your brand.
